a nestles in a small valley at the top of which lies the tiny hamlet of St Jean de Paracol. The waters of the river Faby flow down through the valley eventually joining the Aude at Esperaza. With this geography it is not surprising that there are many walks and rambles that the visitor to the region can explore. A short walk from the gite, for example, affords a view of the snow-capped Pyrenees, whilst if you go to St Jean and look back you can see the valley unfold before you with the famous Rennes le Chateau and the mystical peak of Bugarach in the distance.
